Memphis Botanic Gardens – James and Kelsey are Married!
When your wedding is in April, you don’t know exactly which kind of spring weather you might get. It might be sunny, rainy, or freezing cold! But fortunately, a venue as versatile as the Memphis Botanic Gardens has both beautiful indoor and outdoor options so no matter what mother nature throws out, you’re covered. On James and Kelsey’s wedding day, it was cold. Not just a little chilly for April; it was real deal, we have warmer days in January cold outside. That meant that there was really only one reasonable thing to do and that was to move the ceremony indoors. Although having their ceremony in the rose garden would’ve been absolutely beautiful, shivering through the entire ceremony would’t have been. So instead of a ceremony in the rose garden, James and Kelsey opted to use it as the location for their first look. It was perfect!
The one thing that made it perfect, though, wasn’t the setting. It was that rather than let the cold mess up their portrait plans, James and Kelsey just used it as an excuse to cuddle a little closer, and be a little more together on their wedding day! Even their bridal party rolled with the punches and had a great time!
The Botanic Gardens have some of the best photo spots in the city! We love the fountain in the rose garden, and the lily pond in the winter garden that framed James and Kelsey’s portraits. Everyone had the best attitude despite the cold – which I think speaks volumes about how much they love James and Kelsey! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day or for more happiness to surround these two on wedding day!
